Looking for a simple yet dramatic way to demonstrate principles of fiber optics and the bending of light?

- Note: This kit requires a laser. We recommend our 0.8 mW unmodulated laser
In this demonstration, a laser beam is passed through a glass plate mounted on one side of the jug. The beam is lined up with a hole on the opposite side of the jug. As the water spurts out from the hole, the beam can be seen traveling along the length of the water’s curve, bouncing from side to side within the stream. The 64 oz. plastic jug has a handle and cap and is pre-drilled with two lined-up holes. The glass plate is securely mounted on the side. Developed by Bruce Yeany. Grades 7-12.
