Educational Classroom Kits and Activities
Science Has Never Been Sweeter!

  • Perfect for Grades 4-9
  • Instruction and Lesson Plans Included
Using this kit, students use a simple technique to create edible ice cream and learn about heat transfer, phase change, and insulation along the way. The entire activity, from heat transfer to clean-up, can be performed in a single 45-minute lab period. Kit includes enough materials for five lab stations of six students per group, with 20 ice cream recipes included. Each recipe yields approximately 2-3 cups of ice cream. We recommend using a glue gun to apply the pre-cut insulation to the reusable cans.
