The structure of DNA and its components is often difficult for students to remember. This game provides a fun and easy way to reinforce concepts of DNA structure. The game is played like the basic Rummy or 500 card games. Drawing from the hand they are dealt, the deck and/or the discard pile, students try to obtain the proper cards to build as many nucleotides and complementary base pairs as possible. Each deck includes 94 cards: 10 cytosine, 10 adenine, 10 guanine, 10 thymine, 10 hydrogen bonding, 20 phosphate, 20 sugar, 4 wild. Includes five card decks and instructions. Grades 7–10.
