I was maintaining several cultures of Didinium for months, but they stopped eating. I normally buy Didinium from Carolina Biological, but they did not have it available. When I saw it was available at Ward's Science, I purchased 4 cultures. They arrived with no signs of life, not even any Paramecia for food. They were shipped with insulation and cooler packs, but they arrived very warm. The media was cloudy and did not even have a wheat berry in it. I had do change my lab course schedule. I complained; they were going to reship in time for my new lab schedule... they never arrived, did not receive a tracking number for the replacement shipment, did not receive feedback when inquiring about shipment. i will never use Ward's Science again.
