Product Information
This live frog habitat is a break resistant, escape proof rain forest environment complete with a pond, plastic plants, and "rock" cavern for shelter. Send in the mail-in order form included with the kit and soon you will receive, through the mail, live Leopard frog ( Rana pipien) tadpoles. These 100% Earth-friendly tadpoles are not taken from the wild, but are captivity-breed. The vented, see-through lid that encases the habitat provides safe, unobstructed viewing, allowing children to watch as the tadpoles turn into frogs, swim in their own pond, and explore their world. A built-in magnifier provides a closer look at your new amphibian class mascot and doubles as a feeding cap. Additional shipping charges not included.

| The habitat was a flimsy plastic container. Attractively colored but very flimsy. Then I was supposed to be able to get tadpoles via a discount but they could not get them to me for 6-8 weeks and it took almost 8 weeks to get the habitat. Sorry but this is just not worth the price. |

| my son got it for a gift.. he loves it since we live in florida.. it rains all the time.. so we go out to catch thw pole all the time.. and watch them grow.. we love it.. we also use it for lizards.. and other insects |

| Received for Christmas. Once son understood the tadpoles would come when they wouldn't freeze, it was great. The support at Boreal was wonderful..I enquired about a 2nd tadpole in case the one didn't survive and they threw an extra in - no charge. We actually received 5 tadpoles in the mail. Took about 2 weeks and they started metamorphosis. All are progressing at different rates, and everyone in the family rushes in every day to check on progress. My son has taken them in for show and tell, wrote a story about them and presented to his kindergarten class. We're now keeping them as frogs. Habitat is much too small to support more than 1 or 2 frogs, but we're using it to separate the smaller frogs from the bigger ones, which we put in an old fish tank (large frogs will eat small ones). Excellent gift! I'm going to give it to all my nieces and nephews... |

My daughter recieved this as a Christmas present. Since it was the wrong time of year for tadpole shipping we waited until spring to order our tadpoles. THEY NEVER CAME!!!
Talk about a HUGE disappointment. I could never find out why and didn't have this web address at the time so we never did get to raise our frogs. The habitat is really neat so we used it for pill bugs. What else could we do? Sigh.
Would have been fun with the actual frog. |

| What a HUGE disappointment..the Planet Frog Kit is pricey and flimsy would be a kind description. I have had this for 1 week and just discovered it is leaking. Very inferior quality, not easy to move. |
