Designed to prepare your students for the Regents Exam Part D questions regarding these essential biological concepts.
These three kits are a convenient and cost effective way to meet the Regents Exam requirements for Part D of the in Living Environment test. Each kit has been tested by Science Kit Quality Assurance to make certain required results are achieved. Each kit includes teacher's notes and comes packaged in a sturdy plastic storage bin.
Lab #1: Relationships & Biodiversity
Includes materials for 5 classes of 10 groups per class: 12 specimen slides, 5 leaf sample sets, materials required for seed analysis, spot plate with 0.1g scoop, vinegar, microtip pipets, baking soda, food coloring, filter paper, medicine cups with lids, plastic cups, rulers, self adhesive labels, teacher notes. Note: a stereomicroscope and standard microscope are required for this lab but not included. We suggest our 55728-03 and 55841-21.
Lab #3: The Beaks of Finches
Includes materials for 15 groups per class: Green split peas, pinto beans, chopsticks, binder clips, clothespins, forceps, pliers, aluminum pans, petri dishes, seed storage bags, teacher notes.
Lab #5: Diffusion Through a Membrane
Includes materials for 30 experiment set-ups: Glucose solution, starch solution, Benedict's solution, starch test iodine, dialysis tubing, string, funnels, pipets, plastic cups, self adhesive labels, teacher notes. Note: a standard microscope, hot plate, test tubes, slides and salt are required for this lab but are not included.
