Teacher Doug Panee has delivered another great idea that your students will love, and it even includes 20 ice cream recipes! This lab can be performed in one class period, from heat transer to clean up. Students work in groups of 6. We recommend using a glue gun to apply the pre-cut insulation to the reusable cans. Complete instructions and a lesson plan are included. The entire activity, from heat transfer to clean-up, can be performed in a single 45-minute lab period. Kit includes enough materials for five lab stations. Each recipe yields approximately 2-3 cups of ice cream. Appropriate for Grades 4-9.
