These biting insects are a remarkable example of group dynamics in the animal world, making them ideal tenants to observe. The queen is not included for reproduction. Culture instructions are included along with approximately 45 specimens.
Note: Residents of Hawaii need to acquire a USDA Permit.
We had to reorder twice as the first two shipments of ants were all dead. However your customer service was very helpful and accommodating. They suggested we try one more time and if it didn't work out they would refund our money. We have really enjoyed watching the ants make tunnels and move the dead ants to the top of the farm.

amazing but suprised

I got the harvester ants and was very happy as I was placing the ants in their new ant farm one escaped I picked up only to find a suprising pain I look down to see the ants stinger in my thumb I put the ant in its new home removed the stinger then had swelling pain and dizziness I love the ants but am mad no information was provided to me

Ants came on time as expected, would have liked to see more information included about the ants, life expectancy etc....I did purchase the habitat that included some information about the harvester ants.

Certain critical information was not made clear at the time I placed my order. 'Things I should've known, I guess, but just the same: I would've had the ants shipped to my own address instead of my great-grandson's if I had known the survival expectancy of the ants. I was not told that the "substrate" would be shipped with them, and since the "tubes" they were in were buried in the packing paper, I actually thought the substrate was them, and almost tossed the ants out with the paper packing that they were in!
